I've had a few different things happen over the years, but this is a first.
Car was running good, won first round and this kept me from going to round two.

Wasn't this a new trans build? I'd suggest the Babbitt pump bushing as it's more forgiving. It doesn't look like the bushing was staked either? If it spun in the pump I'd be replacing the pump as well. This isn't a failure that should occur. Pay careful attention to the converter hub. Mic it. Are both dowel pins in the block? Hate to see this issue reoccur.

It wasn't a complete build this last time and the bushing wasn't staked by the individual that did the complete build a few years ago ... an individual that is slowly losing my business due to carelessness. Both pins are in the block. I'm not sure how much damage it did to the pump and I'm going to send the converter to PTC to have it checked out.

I'll bet the converter is fine but, have you checked the engine to transmission centerlines? Mine was off like .012". Since the converter bolts to the engine it can load one side of the bushing.

Been there and yep it sucks, hope you get it running soon.

Someone asked me if I have ever seen the serial numbers on a condom. I said "No" and he promptly said, "I guess you don't unroll it that far."
I shot back, "No, I usually tear that part off trying to stretch it on"

Good luck maybe time to look elsewhere for trans man or parts supplier.

Got everything back together, PTC converter freshened/repaired($150 + freight) and went to the track yesterday. Car was running good, but the driver was asleep at the tree. lol
11.502 on a 11.50 index and lost ... that's racing
