Hey Guys. Looking to get a new project under way and need to know how these were painted originally.

Were the entire bezels black & if so I'm assuming they were satin black but need confirmation. Or were they a combination of silver & black?

Thanks in advance!

Satin black is about as close as you can get to the black area. The ribbed area around the tail lights were Argent silver. I used semi gloss black and Argent silver when I did mine.

Correct on the paint, however, something is definitely way out of wack with how your taillights are sitting.

Seems like a common trend on the 68s that the tail lights are re-installed crooked. Does it have something to do with the weird shaped washers that the tail light housing studs use?

Not that crooked though.

Thanks Guys! Gotta get these straightened out, lol! So what's the best Argent Silver people are using?

There is a right and a left side tail light assembly...maybe they are swapped.
