Does anyone know what these seats are out of? I'm pretty sure they are Mopar. I was told these were from a 70 B- body, but I don't believe that's true any longer.
I would say they're from a 73-74 Duster or Dart Sport. This should be the shallow elk grain insert and Coachman grain skirts.
The Challenger and 'Cuda used a different type of material for the center of the seat for these years, with an empire grain insert. This material has tiny square checks in it. Here's a picture of the Challenger seat. If you look close you will see the little square checks.
Those look like E-body tracks. They’re the only ones that short. A-body tracks are taller, as are 69-70 B and C. Hard backs would be 70-71. Soft backs would be 72-74. I do agree that the material does not look like E-body though. They could be 71+ B-body too.
I agree. You can swap the tracks over from other seats............... If I'm not mistaken, the Challenger had an upholstered back in 73 and 74, just like an A body car. The hard plastic backs were from 70-72.
If those are E-body tracks they would be 70-71. I think it was 72 when the inner track became non locking. Meaning no wire ran across to it. It was just a slider. Those t look to have the second latch.
