Best cruising song?

American Graffiti probably the best car movie ever! It was like living a moment in the 50’s.....I was born later but oh to have been on those early hot rod days and nights would have been so cool!

Got to give some up for Lynyrd Skynyrd. So many great songs but this one is not so well played or known from their earlier work it deserves a listen and being put on this play list.....? RIP gentlemen

Saw them too but AFTER Lowell died. Lowell was Feet not the same afterwards. He was so talented and I miss him a lot.
Agree that Lowell was amazing but the two albums they did with Craig Fuller were outstanding also. He was the best person to sing Lowells songs and there were a few great Feat tunes that came off those records, "Hate to Lose Your Lovin" and "Let it Roll" as well as "Twister" come to mind.

I had a little run in with Craig the night I went to see them which tainted my opinion of him as a person. I subsequently lost interest in the remnants of the band after that night. My loss I am sure.

It was about the summer of 1962 actually... :bananadance:
It's filmed (?) mostly in Petaluma Ca. &/or released in 1973 IIRC
( they have a cool old downtown streets still)
& some in Modesto Ca., where it's supposed to have taken place

loosely based on George Lucas's youth

but yes very cool
