Where do these repop vapor separators get bolted to the engine?

Check it for the restriction before you install it....The return line should be restricted, I seem to recall the orifice should be .060... Allot of the repo's are closer to .125 so your fuel pressure hovers around 2 psi.....

If it's to big put a Holley carb jet in the return line...

Very clever!!

Well the problem has existed for years & I can't say it hasn't been fixed but it wasn't for many years & you need to do something...

I agree.
So many dude's soldering and drilling. This is the best remedy I've read AND it's absolutely simple/foolproof.
Good job sir!

the outer bolt on the fuel pump
I tried to put one on years ago, following what it looked like in the manual on the timing cover, but it wouldn't fit. I never tried the fuel pump, and that makes a lot of sense.

I have to jump in with a question please!
When I installed the :lowdown:Carter M6903 mech fuel pump and the braided stainless steel lower and upper Promax fuel lines on my 440 6bbl, I couldn't figure out how to reinstall the fuel vapor separator because of the fittings made onto the braided lines (-6AN) and the fitting screws right on to the fuel pump. The old fuel lines were different.
Can anyone tell me how I can reincorporate the vapor separator?
Right now, I just have the return line plugged.
Thanks!

Is The Vapor separator a filter too ?

Yea,I was thinking the same. Fuel Filter isn't mentioned in service manual.

My understanding is that the vapor separator has a coarse screen filter in it.
