I didn't have much of a chance. I grew up with a '65 Mustang Fastback Hi-Po sitting in my driveway and it became my first car after restoration in 1989. It took me almost 30 years of buying and selling Fords before I bought a '68 Charger. Not only did I buy a car, I bought the guy's whole hobby with tons of spare parts, most of which I have already sold to fund the motor build that is ongoing. I am doing a Low Deck 400/500 stroker, Edelbrock Victor heads, Lunati solid roller, JE Pistons with RPM steel crank and rods. It's a 4 speed, Hemi splined, and a built Moser rear end that can handle 1,000hp. I set it up with an EFI tank and all the plumbing so I can easily add EFI when I'm ready. It's had extensive work done to the front end, including motor set back, coil overs, etc. I was trying to use a set of Brodix B1 Originals that came with the car, but my engine builder reached a point where it was going to cost too much more to finish the rocker set-up and custom valve covers, so I am actually selling those and will post them after this. Can't wait to get it on the road!

Welcome to the site! In the mid 70's I bought a 66 Mustang Fastback, then a 65....then 3 65-66 coupes. Had a Dodge pickup at the time and liked Mopar but the Fastbacks were pretty cool and much more plentiful than the Barrcuda Fastbacks and cheaper! My old room mate had a 65 Fastback and if we didn't take my 66 Belvedere out running around we took his and that's where I got my taste for them. But, stooopid stuff kept breaking and even after fixing things with 'Ford Quality Parts', it broke again. Then a buddy needed some parts for a race car build and me not being home at the time he took the liberty to break into my garage and 'borrow' what he needed. Already being frustrated with the breakage, the 'breakin' pushed me over the top and I started selling off all of the Stangs and extra parts. And of course, not long after that, the prices started hitting the clouds lol

Great, thanks for the tip! The guy who built mine wanted to run it on the Mojave Mile, so that explains a lot of the mods.
