Who Has Added a Leaf to the Rear Leaf Springs?

I would guess with elliptical springs like Mopar, long shackles will play havoc with your driveline angles and possibly result in some vibration - unless wedges are used to restore the proper u-joint angles.
Real long shackles will but ones that are still fairly short won't bother things much.....

I just got done building my springs for my Dart. I added a torque leaf on top based on the Hotchkis design.
If the height is fine try Monroe Load Levler shocks.

For simplicity and low cost yet effectiveness - I prefer the method Dennis H used with the “add a leaf” from Summit. I did the exact same thing as he did for about $35 and it raised the back end up about 1” - 2”. Ride quality was unaffected and the process of installation was simple. Did so on my 68 GTX. Perfect solution

Added a leaf on each side of the '71 Charger. Has a spring shop make the springs. They sit right under the main spring with the spring starting really close to the front. I wanted to stiffen the front section of the spring to help reduce wheel-hop. The spring shop can re-arch the springs for any ride height. I think mine added an inch, looks like more on my car because the T-Bars are lowered and the front tires are smaller than the rears.
Note that adding an extra spring will change the roll rate of the car, and will add some over-steer. Usually not a problem as the cars normally understeer

Adding a leaf to a sagging rear end is like putting lipstick on a pig. The previous owner of my swinger added an extra leaf and I think it rides like a Lumber Truck. LOL just give Espo a call and tell him what you need they'll be able to fix you up right.

I conferred and THINK this is it.

Should have said this before, I agree with Cranky, 1"-1 1/2" longer shackle adds a little lift if that's the goal. That doesn't hurt anything in my experience. If the springs are clearly weak, get new springs. I used longer shackles for some tuning in a drag car application('65 Coronet 11.0-10.5). But adding a leaf is easy to do. Re-arching for looks is also easy, probably re-arch most or all. May take more than one try to get the desired appearance results.
