Has anyone seen this emblem on a '67 Plymouth?

My first car back in '87 was a '67 Belvedere II. It was B5 blue, black vinyl top, silver special interior, factory 383 4 barrel automatic car with air conditioning. The guy who I bought it off of told me that it was a southern California car. I know that it was in fact built at the Los Angeles plant. This emblem was in the middle of the dash right above the A/C vents. Even back then I noticed that none of the other '67 B bodies that I looked at had this emblem. To this day, I have never seen another one. I sold the car to my brother and he ended up totaling it back then. Before the car went to the scrapper, he removed the emblem and gave it to me.

My question is: has anyone seen this emblem on a '67 B body, and can anyone tell me if it was part of some option or trim package?

I guess this doesn't really answer your question... but I actually have some of those, they are from a '71 New Yorker and nothing else as far as I know. I had a '67 Plymouth, and it sure did not have one, nor does my '66.

I can tell you that is positively not an emblem for any 67 b body. The early Plymouth emblems from the 40's had that styling but had the sailing ship incorporated. Might be a Chrysler emblem from that era.I'm at a loss.

Actually, my dad had a '75 Newport when I was a kid. It had the same emblem on the c-pillar. Back in the day, I thought that maybe a previous owner added the emblem at some point for whatever reason. However, I can say for certain that when brother removed the emblem before he junked the car, the holes in the dash did look factory. There was no burr that would have indicated that someone drilled the holes and added the emblem. Also, there was paint in the cross section area which would have not been there had someone drilled the holes to add the emblem.

it is a Newport model emblem. Dont know the year, but the answer is it is NOT meant for your car.
