Well I had the original sender fixed a few years ago but it hasn't been working consistently this year. Will go to full when I filler up but sort of drops off at 3/4 full to E but bobs up now and then while driving.
Couldn't find a replacement that is shaped the same but spectra specs the FG129A as the replacement so I ordered one.
Not even close in design but looked like it should still work. I bent the tube a little more to match the angle for the pickup and the float range seemed to match, so I installed it while jacking the front up to push the fuel in the tank back. Installed without issue and I now have a working gauge! Now I'll have monitor the range for accuracy so I dont run out of gas!

I connected the gas gauge wiring to the new sender and grounded it to the body with the sender out of the tank. Next we turned on the key and I had my wife watch the gas gauge while I moved the float to the top of the range to see where my gas gauge was (just a little past my full mark), then I moved the float to the middle of the range (near the 1/2 mark on the gauge), next I moved the float to the bottom of the range) gas gauge was sitting on the empty mark. Next I installed it in the tank and checked for leaks, none! I did have to bend the float arm a bit to get my readings right on my car gauge. Good to know where the full mark, half mark and where the empty is on my car gas gauge.
