I plan on running TTi headers in my 62 Savoy. However I just realized that my later model K frame is pushing everything back about 2" inches. Anyone had experience with this issue and did your headers have any fitment issues?

I'm guessing you'll need to use the headers that match the year of the K-Frame. But, that may cause issues with cross member clearance. Most likely some one here will know the answers.

First you need to fit the motor with the transmission you are going to use in the car with the later k-member .
By doing this will show you if you will have problems with the rear trans mount hitting on the top of the trans tunnel . If you have no issue with anything hitting look and see what type of rear trans mount you can use . All this is trial and error fitting . I used a spool mount type with my 65 coronet . Knowing that the motor had to be moved back due to Lakewood Scatter shield I used . They make them for 66 up cars because of the 2 inch motor move back in 66 . I moved the motor back until I had the Z bar located and level . I used TTI headers for a 1965 Coronet with 2 1/8 in tubes and every thing cleared . Also You did not state what size of motor you were going to use . MY car has a 426 Hemi with a motor plate and is a AFX style car .
Just thinking about your rear trans mount , if everything clears , you can take your old rear Trans mount and get someone to weld an extension to the rear of it and use an OEM style rear rubber mount . that will bolt up to it ..Just a thought.
Hope this gets you thinking , Thanks John

As funcarman said trans mount needs to be modified. I cut up my 318 auto mount to fit.

Yep, there's modification to do. Before pic, 64 Belvedere with later model K frame. I wanted to use collectors to accommodate the Moroso evacuation weld-in tubes and not have to drill my headers. Not smart and I wouldn't recommend it but brute force was enough in this case. Just lucky I didn't break any welds. Do what the other guys suggested and modify the mount.

Call TTI and tell them what you have. Ask for Mike Graby in sales. They make 2 different sets for big block early "B's". One with the OE K and one with the 66/later K. If he can't help you then he will transfer you to Sam the owner. Best to talk it over and then order. Not like I did and had to send things back because I didn't ask any questions.

I just installed a LA 318/904 in a 63 Belvedere. I used a 68 A Body poly mount that I had and modified the 63 cross member. Cut the base plate out of the cross member fit the mount to the trans, fit the cross member, adjust for level or pinion angle that you want. Not being a high HP car I just used steel strap, drill and welded. worked for me.Just make sure that no metal to metal contacts so the mount can have flex. Yes I had to do it twice...

66, go ahead and do it, it works fine, 64 belvedere with a 67 gtx k-member, had to move the hole for the shifter two inches and beat the body seam in the tunnel down flat. in 1975 no less. 509rb, eddy victor heads, 727 torqueflite. collectors were a little close to the crossmember but not enough to make any difference, mufflers went on fine. Dave.
