When I was a kid, first going to the drags, thought it was pretty wild. Slingshot dragsters...blower mounted in front of the engine, with two big tubes connecting it to the intake.
Man, was I wild-eyed!

pretty cool story

I did quite a bit of Nostalgia racing

I do like the next era a tad better 1966-76

saw a lot of them old rails run
remember the mid sixties well,
earlier than that only from films & videos, lots of
SCTA, AHRA, Hot rod reunion races,
Gary Meterze (spelling ? he was the founder) promotions
& Goodguys events 1950 & earlier body styles
a lot of mid sixties style FE dragsters, most earlier one wouldn't tech

Ran helped out with Pete, Fritz & Marlene Kaiser, Arlen Ness (bike builder)
org T/F stand out & fabricator car builder (Custom Harley guy too)
Jim Davis car he drove for a few seasons, then Fritz drove it after Jim Died
Al Bush (IHBA BFFB Crazy Horse fame)
