Mine, a 1971 Javelin. Bought it from my brother. Needed an engine. Got a 360, installed it, and then the fun began. Driving it to the MVB to register it a cop pulls me over. No plates, no big deal, right. Another cop pulls in front of me, gets behind his door and pulls his gun. A second later a cop pull across the street and does the same. One of them says don't move. No kidding. My 12 year old brother is with me and asks what's going on? I don't know. Turns out they thought the Javelin was a stolen Mustang.

I should've known then the car was possessed. Over the next few months you never knew what was going to happen. Park at the beach. Come back. Dead battery. Wouldn't start for no apparent reason, then start fine. Final straw was getting off work at midnight and finding a flat tire. Drove on the flat to the gas station and filled it

Parked it and put it up for sale. Have someone coming to look at it. As I'm hooking up a battery the wiring sets on fire and burns back to the firewall.

Did what any sane person would do. Invited some buddies over for beers and we sledge hammered the Javeljunk into oblivion. Damn that felt good.

'97 chubby z-71. At 4770 miles the a/c took a dump. 6800 miles the clutch burnt up. At around 10,000 miles the electrical system developed an evil mind of it's own. I ended up selling it with only 14,300 miles on the odometer. Lost power every mile l drove. Finally to the point it didn't have enough grunt to pull a whore off a piss pot.
Last GM product I'll ever buy.

1985 IROC Z-28 Camaro. I got it in 1989 with close to 50k on the odometer and it gave me nothing but problems. I traded it for a Jeep XJ 4X4.

In the mid 80's i had a 79 f150. It ran great, dependable, and easy to work on. I got vette fever, and sold the truck for $1350. Bought a 74 stingray for $6000. The first WEEK i had it I spent the $1350 on repairs. The leaf spring broke, the brakes had to be rebuilt, and both window switches wenr out ! It was a P O S turd !. No power at all. And my right lower pant leg was always soaked with sweat, from laying against the trans tunnel. Both t tops leaked like a sive. First and only chevy i'll ever own ! Took forever to sell it, and then at a loss.

1996 Mopar. Plymouth Grand Voyager. POS money pit. Gave it to a junk guy....

To continue with the Chevy rant, my worst time with a truck was a short box C10. When I bought it, it had fresh Imron paint but, it rapidly surrendered to Michigan salt. I slipped in a mildly built SB 400, rebuilt the T350, and swapped in a 3.73:1 gear set and it ran like a bitch. I hired a fella to repair the rust and it looked good until more salt was applied ( we have excess in Michigan so creative ways are developed by the state to distribute the salt ). One more quick fix and sold it to a friend/buddy and ordered a new 1994 3/4 ton, 4 wheel drive, automatic, V-10 Dodge. It rusted too but I fixed it and it's still hanging in there.
I expect to keep it until I die.
Mike

2003 F350 Super Duty 6.0 Diesel/Torque Shift Auto. Turbo kept carboning up, Pea-sized sensor in the trans gave it
shifting problems. Took the turbo off and cleaned it three times. Fixed "The Pea". Fuel pressure regulator went bad.
Wanna guess where they put it? Almost have to pull the cab to get to it! twelve degrees out one day, half a mile
from home. Guy in front of me starts slowing down for no reason, wait, ****, he's making a turn without using
his damned turn signal! WTF!!!! As soon as he faded to the left, I kicked it in the ***, the turbo went up on boost
and the back end came around on me. I over-corrected to keep from slamming into traffic, and hit a curb while
sliding sideways. flipped it over onto the driver's side and got out. What a ride! Miss having a pickup, but glad
that P.O.S. is gone! Used to be a Ford truck guy. Not anymore!!!

2010 Traverse I bought used in 2012 because we were having our first kid. At the time all we owned was a Challenger and Dakota. My daughter was born 2 weeks after we purchased it but we didn’t even bring her home in it because it was already in the shop.
Present Day: it’s in my shop for the last time with the dash out for ac repair.
Selling as soon as it is finished.
As a side note I talked the wife into us keeping the challenger!

2009 Dodge Journey R/T AWD. Chewed up front brakes and kept blowing PTO seals. Sold at 12k miles.

(That thing across the street, not the 'Bee....wish I still had the 'Bee)

1985 Dodge GLH Turbo. Bought new because in those days, there were no new RWD Mopar hot rods new for sale. My daily driver, the GLH was a blast to drive.
Unfortunately, it was in the shop every other month with warranty issue after issue.
Ate sensors like candy (and it ate ALL the sensors at one point or another) and when it finally settled down (after the dealer finally agreed to replace the brain in the thing), then it decided to spit the final drive pinion right out through the transaxle case as I pulled away sedately from a red light, going home from
work one day.
*POW* and then nothing in any gear...
I looked over at my co-worker/buddy I was giving a ride to and said "that's it, I'm done".
Fought with the dealer, then the factory rep, about replacing the transaxle under warranty and finally struck a deal where I'd pay for a new clutch and they'd pay for everything else.
The moment it came out of the shop, I set about finding an '89 5.0 Mustang and traded her off.

Ironically, the Mustang turned into the single best car (and only Ford) I've ever owned. Go figure.

Mine was a 82 Corvette. First year for Crossfire injection, and the 700R4 transmission. I picked it up at the dealership 4 miles on the odometer. At 7 miles on the odometer the transmission shifts from a light to high gear at 5 mph. I called the dealership and they picked it up with a rollback. The next day they say it's fixed. They claimed it was just an adjustment. I pick it up and at the same light on the way home I take off and it doesn't shift out of any gear until 4500 rpms. I take it on home and call the dealership and they have it picked up again. They keep it a week and say it's ready to go. I put 12 miles on it in my 2 attempts to take it home. I get it back a week later with 347 miles on it. Long story short in the 18K miles I kept it the transmission was went through 5 times, the fuel injection was repaired 4 times, the radio speakers were replaced 3 times and the radio once. The A/C compressor clutch assembly sheared off and made its exit through the hood once at about 8K miles. The last time I drove it was from the dealership to my house after the 5th transmission was rebuilt. I listed it for sale in the local paper. A guy came and looked at it, drove it, and thankfully it made the test drive. He bought it, but 2 weeks later I spotted it on a used car lot on the way to work. I stopped by the next day and asked about it. The salesman said that I could test drive it, but it had a minor problem and as soon as they had that addressed they would give me a call. I politely told him not to bother as I had put the first 18K miles on it and I couldn't keep it out of the shop either.

1996 Ford Taurus wagon. Bought it new, full load, full sticker at CAN$31,000.
Driving down the highway the steering would freeze up. Solid. Take it to the dealer. “It’s speed sensitive steering “ they say. Um hmm. Lend it out for a friends wedding, they bring it back, visibly shaken. Steering froze up. Take car to dealer, say “fix freakin’ steering “. They change rack, steering is fine. On vacation, power door locks won’t shut off. Like in “BRAAAAAP!” For hours. Dealer fixes. Air conditioner shits the bed. Dealer fixes. Go to play stereo only to discover that they put in a new dashboard with no stereo. Dealer reinstalls stereo that they took out. Driving car it would randomly go full throttle. Randomly. Wife takes it to dealer. They give it back saying they found nothing wrong. Wife starts car, IN THEIR PARKING LOT. Car goes full throttle. She leaves it there, running full throttle and goes back inside to get mechanic. They fix it. Power locks go again. Dealer wrecks door panel by breaking mounting tabs so that it rattles terribly when you close door.
We owned the car for just over a year, put less the 20,000 km on it, or about 15,000 miles. Had seven major warrantee claims on it. Sold it in a town very far away for CAN$14,000 just to get out from under it. Bought a Subaru. Still have it. Love it. Will buy another.

78 VW Dasher. Bought new. Biggest piece of German **** ever assembled in Wolfsburg.
Gutless wonder. Don’t know where to start.

What you needed was one of those Rabbit Diesel P/U's....

2008 Subaru (Un)impreza 2.5i
Radiator (covered under warranty), A/C Compressor (covered under warranty, but right at end of warranty period), Not under warranty were Power Steering pump that trashed the rack too, Leaking spark plug seals and valve cover gaskets, electrical problems (mostly related to the stock stereo). Great car if you make money repairing them.

Tough call...of all the cars/trucks I've owned over the years, none were perfect, they all had their flaws and quirks. I'd have to nominate the 2007 Trailblazer we had. It was more what she wanted, I had my Ram truck. What a pile of ****. Oh, it was okay at first, but for being so new it was a major disappointment. The huge plastic door panel fell off due to the retaining pins breaking. Replaced cam position sensors twice. Some other sensor failed, can't remember which. Yeah their 'better idea' inline 6 was some engineering team's wet dream that flopped in the real world (shocking). A/C switch panel died. Not to mention having to replace things at 30-40K miles that usually last much longer like the water pump, and and even the tensioner pulley. Wind noise was loud inside too. I'm still happily dumbfounded that a local Ford dealership gave us $7500 trade-in for that rattletrap!
