My husband recently bought a ‘69 Charger and the build sheet that he found is not to his car. We would like to find the owner. VIN # is XP29H9B243810.

Welcome to the forum and if you're able to share some pics.....

Typically, Hamtramck built cars where your charger was built the BS is found under the rear seat bottom. However, they can be found in other locations. For example, behind the glove box, under the front seat bottoms or the front seats backs. They have been found behind the headliner.

If all those areas have been explored then you can post a thread on multiple forum ISO....Galen Govier whom I am not a fan of has some BS's....Or you just may never find it.....

Good luck on your search...

Thanks!! This is the build sheet we found, not to his car unfortunately. I will have him check the other areas, thanks!

Was that found in that car?......Hard to believe but that did happen.....Some cars they have found 2-5 BS for other cars but zero for the car itself....Sounds like your situation, possibly......

The guy we bought the car from thought it went to our Charger but it does not, VIN doesn’t match. I guess he found it under the seat...maybe the seat had been changed out?

Welcome aboard Tyffany! Let's see some pics of the car, we LOVE pics! I found my BS behind the backseat backrest.

Lol, we have someone else’s build sheet.
Attached is my husband ‘s car. Previous owner took everything apart, so he has much to do :) Transmission is all rebuilt and boxed up. Engine is next 3A1C6F01-C353-4277-B584-3D12D7391E23.jpeg

Thanks for the pic...What are the plans for the restoration of the car?

Body appears solid...

He wants to keep everything as original as possible. Not looking to make it show-worthy, just get it back close to what it was and get it on the road.

Sounds like a fun project....Maybe if you can do a build thread here, we are very helpful here.....

It is in the "members projects and restoration" section here...

Thank you! I will let him know! I’m trying to take pictures for him along the way. We went to the Mopar show in Carlisle, PA this year and I liked how some owners made photo albums as they restored their cars.

A restored thread is a virtual photo album accessible anywhere, anytime.......

I recently found two different build sheets in my 1967 GTX and neither of them match my car.......I was SOOO BUMMED out and I still am.
They were in in the seat springs behind the seat backs. Both sheets in AMAZING condition.

Thanks for posting! I’m looking for mine too! Probably never find it as stated so many without them all together. But you never know! It was close!

Was your GTX built in LA? I have a ‘67 GTX built in LA but no build sheet

It's not "hard to believe" in fact it is VERY common to find a build sheet for a different car with the same interior under the rear seat bottom.

As stated above look in the alternate locations.

After finding the BS for a different car under the rear seat, I found the correct BS for my 73 under the front seat.

...and thanks for posting the orphan BS on this site.

@TA Alaska on FABO has a website and has great luck reuniting build sheets to the current owners.
