1972 Lower control arms

finally got the 92 GTX RR on the road and after 500+ miles I decided to rotate (re index?) my torsion bars because I had them adjusted all the way and the car was still about an 1" to high. I wanted the screw adjustment to be in the middle and not max. During the initial restoration I replaces 100% of the front suspension bushings and pivot arms with PST components. During the process of working with the torsion bars I notices something wasn't quite right with the lower control arm bushings so I removed one for closer inspection. Based on my limited experience with these components it appears to me that the bushings are good but I might have an issue with the control arm. it appears that the pivot arm is secure in the inside of the bushing but the outside of the bushing isn't secure in the arm. I can easily move the pivot arm within the control arm.

The following pictures do no do the issue justice but I cant upload the short video.
 
correction, car was still an inch to low, not to high.
 
Did you leave the pivot stud nut loose untill you got all your suspension assembled and torsion bars set/hieght adjusted? I believe you tighten the nut last to "set" the stud at ride hieght...
It also sounds like your T bars arent "clocked" correctly, or not on the right side(left & right are different)... Just thinking out loud...
It may just be a bad bushing too I suppose...
I had to press mine in and the rubber will break the vulcanization before the outer bushing spins I'm sure of it(if i understand your explanation)... You didnt clean up the bore in the lower CA with a grinder or something that would've opened it up?
If not maybe it was done in the past, in which case its time for a new CA...
Is this happening on both sides?
 
Upon studying your photos, those bushings dont look right. Is the pin pivoting in the bushing? Doesnt look like the pin is in all the way and also looks like the bushing isnt fully seated in the CA... If those only have 500 miles on them, theres something wrong and they should be replaced...
 
If you are referring to the housing/lip in your picture that is normal it does rotate within the two halves of the control arm. If any the two halves of the control arm may have spread apart some causing play. This can be tightened up by adding stiffening plates.

To me there is no issue with the bushing in question

nope,
my bushings appear to be solid on the pivot but it appears that the outer bushing isnt secure in the control arm. I have a short vide that is very clear
