What is my best model to look for a set of 15 inch wheels for my 62 Dart or any with correct register? Any width from 5 to 6 (maybe 7) inches will be fine. 1/2 ton Dodge or Ford pickup from 70s' 80's? Hard to find much in any boneyard that is older than 2000!!

Hello , I have the correct wheel centers to build the wheels you are looking for I sent you a pm.

Thanks anyway, but this is a more door that will just be a driver. Low buck project!! I will keep you in mind if and when I pick up a project needing the real deal!!

I usually find 15x7 and 15x6 on the 80's Dodge Diplomat, Plymouth Grand Fury, or the Chrysler 5th Ave rear wheel drive of the 80's. Currently running 15x7 rear and 15x6 front on my 65.Round here still got some in the pic-a-part yards.

M body fifth ave, dippy or fury. 15x7 with the right nubs for dog dish caps. Last time I got a set the junkyard guy sold em to me for $10 each.

I agree with the 80's Dips and bigger cars. I am also thinking 15 x 7 steel wheels off some 1/2 pick ups. Hard part is finding any yard around here with anything older than 2000! I hate driving out ( to Austin area) area for a few $10 wheels! I am used to rural SW Missouri where anything was a finger tip away! Here is 1000 times more people and 1000 less old car stuff.

Maybe theres other stuff you may need making the trip worth it. I like the 15x7 dippy M body rims because of availability, cost, BBP, and mopar dog dish caps fit em.

I would love for us to make a road trip that way. We go up to Browne's a couple times a year. The rims are for the front of my new- ly acquired 62 Dart more door ( b body). The early cars take a larger dog dish but I am no extreme purist anyway. Probably would take am early C body to get the 15's!!?? I think I might have found an old yard at Bryan that supposedly has some old stuff but I havn't checked it out yet. 2 1/2 hrs away to the West . Hoping to see some cooler temps before long!!

Most Diplomat/Fury will be 15x6

5th Ave is 15x7 but...the spare is 15x6 and it is VERY likely the spare has been swapped onto an axle and not noticed that it is different.

Also note these have nubs/tangs for 9" dog dish, rather than for the 10" cap that is correct for the OP's car up until 68 IIRC.

I will use what ever I get as just bare painted rims. I have a pair of cops wheels for the back is will just use acorn lug nuts on them anyway. One good thing about the more door, it ain't no maxie wedge!!!!!! I did find a good running 383 for it though!! Thanks to DemonRacer for the tip!!

Yes early 80s Fury and Diplomat will be 15x6, however the 85-89 furys and dippys that i got em from were 15x7, so that must be when they went to the wider ones. Out by me ranchers get em for trailers. Seems that most flat bed and 2 stall horse trailers are a Mopar/Ford pattern. Pickups went to a 5 bolt 5 inch circle in the late 1980s. When exactly I am not sure. My pops had an 81 D150 that we put cop rims on, so at least that year was still a pass car pattern.
