Old Mickey Thompson headers

Now that's cool. If they are not tissue paper thin,a good score for a buck and a quarter.

Agreed, they look cool.

However... try to ascertain that you can use them in your chassis if you’re using a full exhaust.

Some aftermarket headers require an adapter at the collector because they run right into the trans cross member. I know because Hooker #5101 (1 7/8” tube, 3” collector) headers do that in my 383 ‘68 Coronet. I needed to get an ‘s’ shaped adapter to make them fit.

Those collectors look really long too so you may end up with other interference issues like trans linkage, etc.

Those look like the M/T design where they staggered the pipes in the collector hence the long collectors. Instead of pipes ending in one place the pipes ended in different places.

I had Mickey Thompson headers on a 67 R/T. As I recall, they were the only headers that would fit without fender well mods. They may have lost a little hp from the collector design but made up for it by the smooth tube design enabled by the collector design. Yes, the end of each tube did not end at the same place. They were staggered within the collector. Sounded GREAT!

Yeah, I've heard that they sounded awesome. Trick design IMO - they had equal length primaries without having to find space for them in the engine compartment.

Too bad the original post is from last year...I woulda run over and bought them myself
