Dynamat or Other Sound Dampening Question

I was thinking about using dynamat or something like it . One of my main concerns was if wasn't glue down good and had voids in it , it would rust from moisture getting to it and how could you tell and less you see a hole coming through the metal . Wondering if anybody has taken there dynamat off after bunch a years and seen what shape there floors or whatever they had cover ? I 'm thinking about using Lizard skin for heat and sound .

How would moisture get under the mat to cause the rust?

I guess if the install was done incorrectly or shoddy, then yes you are correct. The sticky mats are pretty thick and have a durable foil sheet on top. Once its down it doesn't go anywhere and conforms to everything.
