This is a cruise control (turn signal) lever plug. I need to remove the plastic connector from the wires in order to slide them down through the column for installation. How do I back out these "pins". Two are male and two are female. THANK YOU

might work, but not 100% sure.

Each connector has 1 or 2 wings that lock the pin into the plastic connector. The tool fits around the outside diameter of the pin and pulls the wings inward and unlocks it from the plastic.

If you force them out, the wings will get broken and no longer lock into the plastic.

They all have a lock tab.. get a light in there to find it, use a jewelers screw driver and lift the tab while pulling lightly on the wire... it'll come out.

Nice, that looks handy. Radio Shack, if they still exist, has/had all those kida tools. Mine looks like a syringe kinda, but its chrome. You slip it over the tubes to compress the springs, then press the center to push them out. Mine works on one size and one only...... been looking for a better set. Thx, Lefty71

Correct...

Be gentle with those pins if using anything other than the correct removal tool....the locking tabs will break off if you are rough with them.

Just found this... I own the tool, but for a small project this should be great

I bought this set of pin removal tools on e bay to change a bulkhead connector on the RR. Used it several times since on other projects on the car.Made it fast and simple, great investment.
