The coming death of just about every rock legend

Don't shoot the messenger. I didn't write it.

Look how long we enjoyed their music, instead.

Keith Richards will make it to 90.
Hell he has been declared dead twice already and is still with us.

I STILL enjoy Classic Rock and Southern Rock (not country).
95+% of what I listen to is from bands mostly who started out in the 70s and 80s, with a few exceptions.
Standard Rock and Southern Rock fare:
Boston, Journey, Van Halen, Bad Company, Ozzy, Heart, Eagles, Doobies, Deep Purple, Clapton, Zepplin, Steely Dan, Yes, Foreigner....the list is nearly endless.
Same for Southern Rock.
I really don't have much interest in other music.

LOL Death is afraid of Keith Richards... Keith has survived things that would kill the Grim Reaper...

They have all far exceeded their life expectations, so I won't be too upset when they are gone! They will probably out live most of us! Which tells me that we didn't party near enough!

No doubt. I saw the Stones in 89 or so and thought they all looked like old geezers who were going to check out soon. 30 years later they are all still chugging along. My heroes .

Keith was having a drink at a bar and Justin Beiber started some **** with him. Keith just laughed at him! To quote Ozzy..... what the f*ck is a Beiber! Lol

I saw them in 81 just before I got out of the Navy... There was talk then of make sure you see them before they retire...

I was lucky enough to see some of the greats at the height of their powers.
ZZ Top for Eliminator album.
Bowie for Stages
Van Halen for first two albums
George Thorogood for Bad to the Bone
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Peter Frampton
The Stones
Metallica
Iron Maiden
Ted Nugent
Blue Oyster Cult
And many others that were fantastic. Some that sucked (Foreigner, Duran Duran)
All these years later I cherish those memories, as those sorts of bands and concerts will never occur again. Modern so called music isn’t about talent, ability, and songs and I’m genuinely saddened that future generations will never get to experience a concert by a group of talented people actually playing music. I was lucky enough to instill a love of quality rock in my daughter, and was fortunate enough to get to take her to Iron Maiden and Metallica. She went to Judas Priest with her friends, so I can find some comfort in that she wasn’t just humouring me.

Them and a lot of the actors, that made the classics of those days as well...can't help feeling a little wistful.

Saw many while in West Germany in the '70's and '80's. Saw them through a haze of pot smoke....lol. One that sticks in my mind was Aerosmith for Toys in the Attic.. I was like 6 feet from the stage, very loud! Probably saw more than 40 concerts..

Behold the killing fields that lie before us: Bob Dylan (78 years old); Paul McCartney (77); Paul Simon (77) and Art Garfunkel (77); Carole King (77); Brian Wilson (77); Mick Jagger (76) and Keith Richards (75); Joni Mitchell (75); Jimmy Page (75) and Robert Plant (71); Ray Davies (75); Roger Daltrey (75) and Pete Townshend (74); Roger Waters (75) and David Gilmour (73); Rod Stewart (74); Eric Clapton (74); Debbie Harry (74); Neil Young (73); Van Morrison (73); Bryan Ferry (73); Elton John (72); Don Henley (72); James Taylor (71); Jackson Browne (70); Billy Joel (70); and Bruce Springsteen (69, but turning 70 next month).
