Well here we are again mother nature is trying to kill FL again!

How much longer is this darn thing going to set on top the Bahamas? The suspense has got to be getting to the ridicules level for the east Florida coast.

Ok, so lets move everybody out of Florida, most of the costal states all the mid west states prone to tornados and Ca. who cares anyway.
All so your tax dollars aren't used for disasters that may happen in those places

At this point it would be nice just to get it over with I'd like to work on my car! I missed out on a 3 day weekend to work on the charger

Sitting over the Bahamas.. Thats when it can get ugly, instead of coming & moving through sometimes these storms just park & sustained winds & torrential rains just grind away at the places where people shelter...

When I was on Guam Pamela stalled over Guam for about eighteen hours... Eighteen hours of 120-150 MPH hour winds blowing anything that does move into anything that doesn't move tends to destroy everything.... Oh, and cars and airplanes both can be part of the does move category...

The added bonus is after hours of getting hammered from the northern exposure you get the back of the storm hammering you on the southern exposure..

Calling the entire Mid-west a danger zone is far fetched and everyone knows it. Weather does have repeat patterns. Rebuilding in the same areas over and over doesn't make sense. I'm okay with not rebuilding Moore, Oklahoma the next time it gets flattened.

Colorado Springs will have another blizzard, it just doesn't cost billions in tax dollars every time.

Sheesh.
That wasn't the point.
How about people just live where they choose but be responsible for themselves?

As a Californian, I am hurt by this sentiment.

Just what did the Bermuda folks do to deserve a hurricane parking on top of their noggins, anyways?

In ancient times this event would be added to the oral histories of the Bahamians as a " sign from the Gods" about this that or the other thing they did...Much like the "flood" stories....

Actually its not, its a reflection of your attitude. Florida and a lot of the Eastern seaboard gets hurricanes, should everyone move away?

Things are getting bad over here. Running low on beer, Crown Vanilla, smokes, doughnuts, dog treats, and Viagra. But low winds and light rains are keeping even The Walmart closed. Not sure if we can drink the 285 gallons of cheap gas to survive.

Opening the shop tomorrow. My guys are actually pissed I am staying closed today. But no parts stores are open and I am not sure my collection of 275 part numbers of in stock air filters will make the difference.

I guess I'll spend my day looking for baby turtles in my turtle pond.

A prime example for me is how hundreds of $Millions/$Billions get spent rebuilding New Orleans every time a hurricane wipes 'em out - even though entire chunks of that region are actually BELOW SEA LEVEL.
I mean, come on already - you don't want to risk losing everything in a flood, then don't live BELOW SEA LEVEL, right?
Sure...let's have everyone move out of New Orleans and SHUT DOWN THE PORT.
If you want to see an economic and strategic DISASTER, that's a great plan!

I think that would depend on if you like hurricanes or not and the mess that they leave behind. If it doesn't bother you and you want to take the chance, stay, that's pretty simple.

There's a reason why private insurance companies won't insure some of these places for floods.

I'll thank you not to attribute words to me that I neither spoke or wrote.
