What car does this emblem belong on?

OH Snap!!! I saw the next post up there where someone said "Nope" and thought it was about your post ODZ. Sorry. Gahh could have used that hour to do something else..lol.

I can't find a perfect match anywhere. That Fury rear seat finish plate is close but not it. I am going to have to assume that this thing was made. Still a cool item to have. Thanks to all for your research.

I'm not quite sure what else you need but here you go ...

Found a picture of it on goggle images and Bing but it's a "PNG" format and it will NOT copy or save. I found it by entering " 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury back seat emblem." That's what it goes to. The center panel is what it is mounted on.

back up the truck.....it's not that. The seat back emblem is square ended and a clean rectangle shape, not like this one that's tapered. I'll keep looking though. Also the center part has an outlined raised edge around the rocket ship. the seat back one do not...

Ghostrider, post the actual link, I'll get it to a jpg. I couldn't find it with the search.
In the meantime here is the picture from the 66 parts book. There is no question it is from a Fury, what ever the year is.

All the pictures I find have the middle "V" like symbol but not the upside down coffin that goes around it. Wonder if I can ask someone in forcbodiesonly to post a close up of thier back seat finishing plates. You are right it does seem to 100% belonging in a Fury though.

Okay, I have exhausted all avenues of searching for this. I checked all parts book numerical indexes from 64-72, and also checked all other markets where these cars were sold as they often changed the badging and emblems slightly. No dice. Even checked Oldsmobile, nope. I checked all mopar from 62-74 no dice. Sooo....I suspect it is from another country/market and just ended up here somehow. I say this because there are absolutely NO OTHER photos than the one for the sale on e-bay. I can find the middle emblem, or the back ground emblem, but not together. I still have feelers out and if I get an answer i'll post it. Sorry!

Thank you so much for all your help. I too have spent many hours on this. Everyone on this site is so helpful. Thanks to all of you!

BTW, GR, the casted numbers on the part do not represent the part number listed. This is part of an assembly of which the part number would be similar but different than the casting.
Long story short, Chrysler in many cases would sell assemblies of items. Example on my 73, Louver and filler. Each part had a part number but were sold as an assembly with a similar but different number. After a year or so Chrysler would ONLY sell the assembly to keep stocking costs down.
This piece was sold in all likelihood with the piece on the rear to hold it in place, like the grille or bar or strap. You couldn't buy it (most likely) with out that grille or piece under it. That is why the numbers are different in the parts books.

Figured this out finally. It is from a Fury alright...1969. But from Canada...
The US Furys had a different emblem. Thought I would share my findings. 4 years later ha ha.

I wondered about this just yesterday!! Wondering if you had figured it out, I know that I really looked for it..

As you can tell from this better pic of a 66 Fury rear seat. It is close but the middle part is different.
