As the title says. Note: I need the “long-tick” version.
Color can be faded, I will repaint the face anyway.

Unfortunately on my original the plastic bushing/bearing was brittle and broke and unwund the spring. Now lost tension for the speedo needle.

Thanks.

Can you share any pictures of the speedometer....I don't understand what a long tick is.

I have a speedo but not sure what the long tick version is I will post a picture of what I have.

Sounds like the 'spike' with holds the needle at the Zero position has broken off....allowing the spring to unwind and cause problems. The speedo needle has broken also, otherwise it would have stopped against the housing of the cluster.

Still cannot fathom what a 'long tick; is

Here are the gauge cluster masks. The first is the long tick and the second is the short tick. I think the difference is the length of the tick in between the larger ones on the face. Looks like I have the short tick version.. Damn always end up having the short tick in the room.

Thanks for showing us your tick

Is the speedo the same or does the actual mechanics work the same? Just the face plate is different.. I'm a little confused. If so my short tick mechanical parts would be just like the long tick. I'm just trying to justify having a small tick.

Yes, from what I know it is just a different face plate. Rest works the same.

I could drill the rivets and swap the face plate. This wouldn’t be an issue.
What is important: The plastic pieces shouldn’t show discoloration or brittleness.

I will take the speedo out of the cluster and take pictures of the inside. I know this speedo works it came out of the roadrunner. We only swapped clusters because it had a fried board.

Great, thanks. Looking forward.

Here is what I have you will have to be the judge on its condition. Like I said worked fine in the roadrunner.
