I don’t know if this will fly ? Replacing intake manifold gaskets. It was too late by the time I noticed that my new intake manifold gaskets don’t completely cover the big crevice around the cross over. My previous set did By the time I noticed it, too late.
Is this a problem ? It’s really no different than before as far as a gasket covering over top of it. I say that because a gasket covering it wouldn’t stop debris from getting in there, etc.
The actual square cross over cut out is where it should be up under the manifold. There is a half moon shape recess that goes around the square. Th moon shaped recess is what is stick out.

This comes up every so often. That's a casting relief for the heat crossover. It is exposed with stock intakes and regular gaskets. If you cut away the extra gasket and paint it all, it's less noticeable. No worries.

I have aftermarket intake and stock heads. But, I understand what you’re saying. Sorry if debris get in there no big deal ?

When you see some mouse droppings on your motor and you say to yourself, "where the heck does he live??!!" Well now you have your answer. :poke:

As others have said, no big deal. Your post reminded me of a couple shirts I bought in the eighties while working at Framingham Chrysler Plymouth. I never opened them, but I did open one this morning for pics.

Your shirt is very over rated, lol ! Man has been planning ahead and setting goals since the dawn of time. As my gaskets, planning ahead more often than not. Doesn’t work out, ha ha
