can anyone help me find the correct inserts that hold a spark plug wire or wires in these 73 big block valve covers? I’m trying to use a few of the factory holders and locations for the holders even though I’m using headers.

I’m not sure if the second picture ever had a wire holder in it?

The second picture shows a attachment for a black metal bracket that typically stands up and supports hoses or electrical wiring not ignition wires....

Very good! Have a picture or technical name for the holder that goes there?

I've been looking for a photo but haven't had any luck... Not a lot of engines had that & I've only seen a few in wrecking yards..

That’s my trouble. Even my survivorish cars have all these details missing. I’d like to find the top valve cover wire holder

Thanks for the info. .still having a hard time finding a picture of the left side valve cover holder on an actual engine. The e body diagram gave me a good start for the others tho! I’m using headers so I’m going to be using only some of the factory holders where I can make them work

Ok so I found a picture of a 73 charger se top eliminator at the Chrysler nationals. .the valve cover holder is not in place on it. .what the heck. .did dodge put that bracket on there for use in later years to come or is this top eliminator car not perfectly correct either?

Here is shown the one not on diagrams above and bracket not reproed and the other one you are requesting on top of the valve.

Need to say my car is A/C if makes diff, BUT if all cars got the same on valve cover I guess the other one must be present too because if not, the valve cover one wouldn’t have any sense

Bingo! Thanks nacho! Those are pictures I’ve been looking for

I know, thats the reason why I posted. You were not the only one. Some more ppl requested these pics maybe 8 years ago so I took them and saved. Need to say the bracket attached to the valve cover bolt IS NOT AVAILABLE AS REPRO as far I have found.... just can get it used.

I know Odzking ( one of those guys requested these pics quite ago ) found it around. I had luck my car still had it.

the rest of brackets and holders are pretty much covered from the link I posted previouslly.

this bracket setup is what makes the 73 and lates spark plug wires being larger than earilers, so the MP spark plug wires setups won't fit. Need a NOS set one which still can be found around ( I did and is storaged at home )... I have the PN around. I sent the measurements to Firecore thought and told them they were taken from a 73 and lates NOS set so if they really paid me attention seriouslly, they SHOULD have those measurements around. I know digging my mails I still must have them.

but you are using headers and that would make a diff story I guess

So did non air conditioning 72-74 b bodies use the thermostat wire holder and the “u” shaped holder by the valley pan rather than routing the plug wires like nachos car? Or were they still routed like nachos? I’m finding too much conflicting info on the web

I have always thought 73 and lates cars were all the same, just like mine. Is true, there is a lack of info on laters cars. Your car got the valve cover for heater hoses bracket on passenger side and the same valve cover than mine. I find hard to route wiring over the valve cover getting the T-Stat bracket.

Otherwise would run N and G brackets, but if so there is no reason to get the one on valve cover.

Aside this, the longer wire setup our cars got is just right due the longer run over the valve cover, and I can’t recall diff PN for 400 or 440s spark plug wires for AC and non AC cars

Thanks! I found that out. I had to buy some from both because neither one had everything I wanted in stock!
