Some of you may of heard of Digi tails. You can Google if interested. Anyway, a guy name Matt sent a email response and I thought I'd share if anyone is interested.

"Thank you for your interest in DIGI-TAILS Digital Taillights for your car.
We are constantly developing new lights based on the requests we
receive from customers. We have added you to our list of customers
interested in LED taillights for your car and we contact you when we
begin the development process.
Feel free to let anyone else you know with the same car to contact us
if they are also interested. The more requests we get the more we'll
prioritize developing lights for your car. We can also do custom one-off lights if you are looking for a one-of-a-kind solution. Beware, this also comes with a one-of-a-kind
pricetag. Contact us for more details.
If you don't want to wait the other option is to send your lights to
us and we can see if we can modify one of our existing taillight
panels to fit inside your housing. If so the cost will be very close
to whatever light we used to make your light.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us.
Thanks,
Matt

What we really need are housings. I saw at least two people using new challenger taillights in the Charger hoop bumper. They aren’t a perfect fit though, may need some tweaking to get right.

Hi , I've got a complete conversion to led on my my tail, brake , reverse and indicators on the rear using my 72 original housings. Additionally I've got full led dipped and main headlights and the 2 front lower orange valance converted to indicators as well as the front orange side markers converted to indicator repeaters . I'm not a purist so my view is I'd rather be seen and be able to see . The rear housings were a minor modification and use the same , similar bulbs but twin led
" filament " eg indicator orange and reverse white are ONE bulb. The other must have when converting to led is the relay " tick tock " sound. This is not available after converting to led indicators as there is no old style relay used. I now have a very small electronic box that emulates the " tick tock " sound when turning. To be fair it does sound a little agricultural initially vs the old relay... but I've soon gotten used to it . My dash board / instrument backlighting is next in line for full led's .... I'll post a few pics if anyones interested in anything I've mentioned .
My son in law tommy is trying some new led strips that sit and fit inside the the original ' 72 lamp housings .. he has a small video which he maybe able to post ... the led strips are cheap and can also be programmed for sequential turning which I have to say if installed correctly and by that I mean depending on your country/ vehicle lighting laws they look pretty good.
Have to add I payed a mechanic to do the work to my car..... had I have attempted it my car would probably have gone up in flames or only be able to be driven in daylight ...
..

I put a led strip light in the rears which work great on the reverse but I cant figure out the indicators? The strips should have sequential indicators/turn signals but I'm not quite sure how that wiring works. I just assumed that if I cut into the indicator wire it should work pretty much the same as a reverse did.. but so far no luck with that.. but I'm still learning and when I figure it out I'll post some more.

MFP-Post pictures if you can or would. I'm looking at having LED's instead of bulbs too. I posted the above email from Digi tail for anyone looking into getting LED's as well

No sweat mate I'll get some pics up later ...
Imho led is the way forward .. for the non purist:thumbsup:

Just tried to post some videos but apparently the files are too big

Ok that's not worked
If you pM me your email address I'll send some clips over mate

All sent over
Anyone else wants a video and some more pics PM me your email addy

I did full LED strips for brakes, running, turn signals and reverse lights in mine. It could be better with a more LEDs per inch and a better diffuser like what new challenger's have, but it's the best I have for now. Just food for thought.

Thanks MFP. Yeah not as fancy as the sequential lights in the Facebook video, but is close to what I wanted. I looked at Digi-tails before doing mine and almost fell on the floor from the price for their Cuda set. It's just too much... If you want the to make the same type of setup as me, you need to find a copy of the August 2013 Mopar Action magazine article LED SLED. R Ehrenburg goes through everything you need to get the turn and hazard lights to work, the types of LEDs that work best, backings to use and soldering.

:thumbsup:Many thanks for the info jedi.. I'll pass onto Tommy if he hasn't already read this !
Have to say again your taillights look great mate

Looks good jedi. I tried that light mod following the article but couldn't get it to work properly. Did you solder into the stock type bulbs after removing the glass? How did you affix the LED strips to the lens? Did you have to use any type of control box to compensate for resistance. Thanks.

Hey Joe. Yes you have to solder the wiring into the gutted bulbs (and I mean totally gutted, not like the article). I actually soldered wires with terminals on them into the the bulbs instead of the LEDs because it is a nightmare getting them back out of the housings. No compensating resister or control box, just straight 12v, but he LED flashers relays are a must or they won't blink. The strips I used were adhesive backed. I cut some corrugated plastic sheet (think political yard signs) to match the lenses and laid the strips out how I wanted. Double check your soldering. I had to redo some of them a couple times before I got them to all light up. Also verify the ground is good. The LEDs seem pretty finicky to that.
