The VA puts the screws to vets yet again

Guys, if your having problems with your local VA, here’s what ya need to do.

Go to your county Veterans Affairs office and they will help you......they are run by Vets.

They looked at me like deer in headlights when I addressed my problem with them! Nope, I had to figure it out and fix it myself! Sorry for the X.

Have you gone back?

I did. Just wondered if you went back. But I’ll take that as a “no”.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Claire McCaskill fixed the VA.

Institutions like the VA tend to take on a life of their own. Every person who attains the head of such organizations is under pressure to DO something to make it better, reign it in, or kill it. The ideas they come up with are often born of someone elses agenda. They rarely are helpful, or cheap.

Or if it even benefits the Veteran!

do not believe in The VA they never helped me one bit always a fight there do not even go to them for nothing F them
OK Snake...Simple question for you. Have you ever at any time taken the pro active approach as to your health care and the needs you require? By that I mean, do you actively keep yourself informed, paperwork in order, copies of everything related to your current health and former conditions, etc? So many Vets that I know that call out the VA as being inept and not functioning in their estimation is because they fail to be pro active in the personal health care. Now I am not saying that you don't, but the above statement shows me that perhaps you haven't completely down your homework here. So many Vets want that magic fix and settle for the brush off because they are not informed as to what pill they might be given, or treatment received. I have a close Friend, retired CMSGT in the USAF that has sever ongoing pain and back issues from his service. He has finally gotten an approval for his original claim now being brought forward. He filed over 20 years ago. Big fooking pay day when he gets his ratings. Best I could figure it will be close to a quarter million of which he might not receive the whole amount. Anyway, he had been prescribed Opioids for his pain and back which he had been on for 6 years or so. Not prescribed by the VA but his private insurance and his Doc. He finally confronted the Doc about his research into opioids and their effect on the human body. Turns out that he was being poisoned with what was mixed in with the opiates to make the pill. Plastic!!! Had he not looked into it himself and kicked off of them he would have eventually caused far more serious issues. Turns out also that big Pharma and the Chinese were the cause of this. Purdue Pharma recently has been named in a Fed law suit for the Opioid practices just to name one. So what I am getting at, is do your due diligence in managing your health care. It is no longer wise to just go in blindly and assume that the Doc even knows what he is giving you and what his knowledge base is on those subjects. Hell most don't even have a PDR by their desk to look up what the medication is and what it can interact with. Subsequently, miss diagnosis such was brought up in another post here. Being wise and informed as opposed to blindly going along is far more better than not doing so. And I might add, even though I have Tri-Care for Life, the VA and Medicare, still to this day do not put my eggs in one basket such as the VA only. I do have that advantage. But for my routine wellness check ups and Meds for my BP Gout, Vitamins, etc. I use the VA as I pay nadda. If I go outside to say another Med facility, I have a small Co-Pay....cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

It's a fool that trust's their doctors advice without doing one's homework as to their own condition/problem and as to weather or not they should see a doctor! This meme applies!
