WoW! Severe inner tire wear - right front only ?

There is an abundance of info on this site and the WWW by googling.
Not trying to be a dick, but it’s easier if you just search.
I did mine and had never done one before that.
I did buy a good USA made front end tool kit from someone in Indiana (or thereabouts)
You will definitely want a proper tool set. Around 200, if memory serves.
 
Without reading everything here, you either have a lot of toe out or a lot of negative camber or both. Either or both will kill tires pretty quickly. 'Some' negative camber for handling with a tad more toe in usually works well.....
 
Even though I had 3 of the best, most experienced "old school" suspension/alignment mechanics work on my car since I got it about 5 years ago, none of them were able to find enough adjustment in the factory UCA "cam" design to get the alignment perfect.
If the day comes where I get a full repaint done, I will have the body and frame checked for straightness on a machine or jig and any adjustments needed made.
I wanted to upgrade the front suspension anyway, and the cam bolt popping off was the nudge that made it happen (plus a sale price and free shipping).
The only part of the new system that is not QA1 is the UCA because the SPC UCAs look like the best.

I'm over-answering the question the OP had, but his tire wear issue is similar to what happened to me.
MOOG has some offset bushings to fix that.

I'm past ready to go QA1+SPC all new and improved and be done. I expect the complete new front suspension system is really going to bring the driving experience to the next level, by a fairly big step.
I did show some restraint as this setup still uses torsion bars. I didn't feel comfortable changing the weight bearing design to something like coilovers, and although rack and pinion would have been nice, I would have gone from about $1,700 total to $3,900 and that was a bridge too far.
 
Excessive wear on the inside of one tire is an indicator of too much negative camber, either by mis-alignment or worn parts ( on Mopars, since the load is on the lower arm, the pivot bushing or the lower ball joint are the culprits).
 
They don't show a 72 Charger service but do show a 72 Plymouth Chassis Manual.
Front suspension parts and pieces are the same, for either...just stay with the correct year. Section in the manual, shows how to rebuild each part, and the correct order the alignment steps are done.

Most of the old Mopars I've had liked to wear the upper control arm bushings.

That causes the same condition.

I've had several so bad, they were metal to metal.
 
as said, the front end needs some love with some fresh parts
I'm going to guess its the lower control arm pivot bushings are shot.
because that is usually the front end part that gets ignored the most..
when you have that kind of tire wear on the inside
that is usually the culprit..

I chewed up a few expensive tires in my challenger when I daily drove it
back in the 90's
before I figured it out on my own after bringing it to 2 alignment shops
that had no clue..
at least you know where to start..
