I’m looking for my dads 74 Challenger. It would have been around western Oklahoma around 1974 to 76 when he traded it in Cordell Oklahoma He worked at the Air Force base in Burns Flat

Good luck. Don’t get your hopes up.

I joined the site to help you out, I wish I could find my Dads '72 Challenger but I dont have the last part of the VIN I need. I wish you the best of luck, hopefully you can get your hands on your Dads.
Good man! Thanks for going to the effort. I hope you stick around this group. :)

Wow, that was actually kinda fast.

No worries, I've been looking for an older Challenger for some time. As a '72 with a 318 was the first car I've ever worked on with my Dad well over 20 years ago. Seen this one, googled the VIN and it brought me here. Having inherited my dad's 64 Mustang, I definitely understand why you would want the car. Just glad to help.

I’m extremely happy to have found this car. It’s pretty crazy. I’m hoping to get the funds available. It’s 1000 miles away now. Had been only 150 until a couple years ago.

The post was months but the search has been years. The thing is until my mother passed I had no paperwork or even a vin to look for. Only a story and a few pictures. After she passed going through old stuff I found the original invoice. My dad was 21 years old. Just back from overseas.

Thats awesome. I am sorry for your loss. Im sure once you get the car your connection with your Dad will be much stronger. Everyone puts alittle of their soul into anything they worked on.

Please keep us informed here about the progress if you can get the car back....a great story.

Well it’s almost done. Got the money sent. Got the title. Waiting on a truck to pick her up and bring her home. Didn’t really have time to get it inspected but I’m sure it’s fine. It was a very emotional buy. Should be in my driveway in around a week I’d say.
