Ok
Saturday is done , qualifying
Few issues on the way . Aermotive pump siezed in the middle of nowhere . Lucky haf spare holley hp150 . O oh , pressure valve failed stuck at 18 psi . Crap . Keep going as i was closer to race than home , about 6 1/2 hrs or so . Carb starts starving / surging . argh . Made mildura after 14 or so hours
Spent morning trying to get a pump , all i could get was a Carter silver . Oh well , strip carb full of shavings .
Lucky it rained and delayed start
Anyway , missed first qual . 2nd qual spun and ran 6.71 . Strip carb , less crap .
3rd qual drop 1/4psi bigger burnout . Chirp tyre 1.43 sixty , 6.58
#3 qualifier .
Back at hotel strip carb , clean .
Time for pub counter meal and good sleep . I am flogged
Like pic of main highway ?

Well not the best result . Out in 1/4s , car in front of me dumped water on startline . While it seemed clear i spun like mad . All over red rover .
First 2 passes for me were 1.42/1.43 sixty this one 1.56
Cold beer time . Then a long run home .

Your car is awesome, to be able to drive it 12+ hours and race it going low 10 seconds. That is great accomplishment in itself!
