I recently got my Charger out of the body shop and it looks fantastic!
The body-man adjusted all the panels perfectly. The engine is ready to go in.
I always thought that installing the engine from the bottom was overkill, but now I think I'll give it a try. The thought of a scratch is just too much.
Anyway, I figured I would built a K-frame support that I can also use to break-in the engine. I used some scrap lumber and some car roller skates. I will built a support for the rad and electrics as well. I'm sure I am not the first person to think of this. Looking forward to hearing this engine run!

Be carful you can still scratch it going up too!
I used to get the oil absorbing diapers and tap them everywhere there soft and thick enough to protect !

Installing the engine from below is the only way to go! Sure, you can scratch anything if you aren't careful, but installing it from below is MUCH more controlled.

Good Luck!

Yeah, this crap gets old quick:

Not to mention, big blocks and A833's are hard on all this fine quality Chinese equipment. :)
Passenger side inner fenders and radiator supports get the brunt of it, along with the firewall
of course.

Best way to do it place on kframe raise the vehicle to be able to roll it under how plant and dealers do it

Try a plumb line to center and get two friends to watch sides and help align. Clean all bolts and nuts with a thread restorer (not tap n die) prior and make sure they fit beforehand. Always start nuts n bolts by hand when aligning K-member. Way easier than touch up paint
