I want to thank all who helped me with my project. There are so many of you who went out of your way to give advise and I will always appreciate it.
This is my first Chrysler products car, and I was really lost in the woods when it came to these cars.
I wanted American iron after I sold my MGB and I was always partial to convertibles. My buddy found this one and called me, he sent pictures and brokered the deal.
Its taken me almost nine years to complete and ive made a shitload of mistakes but its on the road and Sunday I was entered into the first car show of my life.
The car has been a hobby but also a diversion from the ups and downs of life, I guess its like therapy.
The thing is when I was young I lived and breath cars. I started out playing with small engines my father would find in the garbage in his job as a NYC Sanitation worker. I married young had a baby and bought a old beat up house, money was tight so a hobby car was never in the cards.
After educating three children, supporting one through grad school, two weddings and paying off mortgages, it was time to resume a long lost dream
The desire to go fast has left and honestly although I like the muscle cars, I just wanted something were the ignition key was in the dash board.
The sport satellite I stumbled across was the right fix. Its a 383 car, buckets console wood wheel factory AC car and it was all there.
So again thank you all

Glad your on the road. When are we going to see you cruise'n with the top down, it's a convertible ya know.

Congrats Steve. Beautiful ride. Love those Satty droptops !!!!

Very sharp. Congrats! You guys keep me motivated.

She's a BEAUTIFUL CAR!
Perfect to drop the top and soak up the BEST weather of the entire year along the Mississippi Gulf coast in October!
A whole week of Cruisin the Coast!
I sure hope y'all can make it one year, SOON!
The weather is usually so nice, you can probably drop the top and keep it down the whole time.
Congratulations!

That's an awesome car Steve ! Glad for you it's done, and especially keeping it a Satellite. it'll be the star of the show amongst the mundane vettes, Chevys and Mustangs. I wanna see that gem over here in Jersey !!

Great looking car Steve....thanks for sharing the picture. I'm sure you will be able to get out and enjoy it often.

Very much true, Steve. You've done a heck of a job and now it's time to enjoy it!

Looks good, but an old car is never done.
Truer words never spoken. Kinda like it that way, too. :)
