This is driving me crazy. I bought a pretty nice used AVS and went through it in anticipation of using on my 69 Roadrunner. I discovered the check ball for the accelerator pump was missing.
The rebuild kit did not include any check balls, and a check of other kits on the market does not come up with one either. I've probably thrown a couple dozen various carb check balls away over the years and it seemed every kit I bought had a selection of them. Apparently no more.
I tried a part out of an AFB which is shaped like one from a lawn mower carburetor needle/seat assembly, but that's apparently restricting flow to the point where I barely get a dribble out of the squirters and I suspect the shape is letting the fuel drain back out of the feed tube. So, I'm hoping someone has an extra sitting around I might purchase. Please PM me here. Thank you in advance.
