So I am here on FBBO to get to know the B body crew and slowly start working on my B body.

I have a 1967 Belvedere 1, 2 door sedan. When I first saw the car in a for sale ad, I thought it was hideously ugly. The more I looked at it in pics, the more I started thinking it's unique and definitely not many around and I starting thinking how much I needed to buy it.

I bought it from a FBBO /FABO member. I originally saw the ad on FAbo because I live on fabo. I was unaware at the time that there was a duplicate ad here.

After the car arrived to my house and I looked it over in person. I had only one thought, "dang this car looks 100 times better in person and if anyone considered buying it but didn't, they lost out big time."

The first step is to get it in primer or something because it really looks freaky and the way it presents itself currently, really takes away from how clean it really is.

So begins an unlikely relationship with an unlikely car. Being an absolute A body nut, I never thought I would be so captivated and glad I bought this odd ball.

Here's a pic from the original ad.

It's going to be a slow process but I really want to improve this car so it lives. This is way too cool to never see the road again.

Here it starts

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal - A good coat of wax and she’ll be good as new..... Good luck with your build.

Welcome to the group. I remember that car. The owner didnt really want to sell it, but the city was on his tail, from what I remember. I think several of us condsidered picking it up, its a great starting point and not too rusty. Good luck with it.

The main difference between an A body and a B body; 'bout 200 pounds :drinks:

Hi Rainy, I too go to back and forth to the Bodies sites.Right now I'm out of A's and have 3 B's.
I got to see that car in person and you are right it is a very clean car, good starting point.
Tell us about your future plans for it .

Welcome to the dark side.

66/67 B body cars are actually pretty light.

Not a member on the a-side yet, though i do have a 67 Barracuda notch . I just browse the a-side for racing and engine info. I figure to join when my girlfriend makes me work on the cuda. (She wants it). Sorry the 62 is on a trailer, i needed a parking space.

Not a whole lot of 67 Belvedere1’s out there. Good find. This one belongs to my buddy, still has original paint.
