Found in the engine compartment bolted to the driver's side frame rail, pretty much directly under the brake m/c. Pretty beefy, looks like 1/8" steel. I had a look through the FSM but didn't see a reference. My apprentice is unbolting it in the first pic so you can get an idea of location. The chemical shmoo in the 2nd pic is degreaser.

Thanks!

Looks like the bracket that holds the linkage for the column shift automatic parts to me.

Thanks, that would make good sense. It was unused in my car, but the previous owner converted it from column shift auto to floor shift.

Buy that girl some gloves man!!!!
Got to keep the free labor safe!!!

It's part of the linkage for a column shifter. I just took one off 67 Sport Fury and it's laying with the rest of the linkage in a tray next to the car.

What a cutie you have there!

Good call on the gloves, too!
Yours too! We have an obligation to make our girls smarter than any boy they might grow to fancy about true American muscle, and ignore the ones who drive ricers!!!
