my first Real car,as in a nice car,not a pos,
was a 340 duster in midnite blue metallic./yes,it had been repainted.
car looked great sounded great but had stock wheels.
i paid 900 for the car and then almost twice that on wheels tires and stereo crap.
i still remember going to radio city on the boulevard and buying brand new cragars and fatties for it.
pioneer was the brand back then,i spent a bit on those wedge speakers,
the supertuner cassette deck lol and all that jazz.
lots of adventures and fond memories of that car.
thanks for sharing,Steve.

ps,the day i bought that duster off the car lot outside Bragg,
they had a ford galaxie 427 car there for like 3 grand...teardrop hood and all.
i walked around it several times considering it.

I watched that build. The car is way better than when it left Detroit. I would venture a guess that the restoration was upward of 70,000.00 - 80,000.00...maybe more. Who would have thought a 3500.00 Duster 340 would wind up with a price tag like that. Bitchen car though

Beautiful car...the pic of the guys in Daisy Dukes was disturbing.....

Short shorts and hair like this certainly were the in thing back in the 70's-early 80's, however, if any young man walked around looking like that today, his sexuality would be questioned.

I wouldn't be caught dead in those shorts whenever...LOL.
Having said that one of those guys is the current owner and a heck of a nice guy

I used to mow the lawn in cutoffs. Kept you balls cool even when they fell out!

That's good to know as it looks fantastic. Watching the show you can see the work that goes into them and the paint guy seems to know his stuff. Unfortunately, I dropped cable and haven't been able to watch any newer episodes.
