looking on building a 318 poly for my 64 sport fury . thought about going the stroker route. any of yall tried this

Yes stroked to a 390. Using Toth Performance parts and his head work. This thing will give a 440 a run for the money. Put it in a 64 Dodge B body wagon. Not mine but a good friend's. Bruce Toth Performance is often seen in Chrysler Power Magazine. Send me a message if you want his number but I'm sure it's on line.

I plan to as well, as stated above bruce? Toth is the guy you need to talk to. They are finishing up a run of manifolds and valve covers now. I have preordered both. I don't doubt performance on the strokers, mine is respectable in stock form. My plan is a warmover, nothing crazy for the vert. Have the 512 'runner for that. they have a different sound than the la 318, and the "what the hell is that" when you open the hood...

I agree jdakrt, Even a stock engine with intake carb and headers with a nice set of duals really wake the Poly up.

After a complete rebuild of my poly including .60 bore, slight cam, solid lift, Eddy 4bbl, headers, I'm disappointed with the anticipated extra giddeeup...should have took it to the next level stroking it...

My work CP-CARRILLO has made plenty of different stroker pistons for the Poly's including the super trick set that was in the Engine Masters challenge a few years ago.
