Today I found a very nice '65 Coronet 500 convertible on the side of the road in a yard. It is very straight ( two tiny dings) never wrecked, very little rust, oily frame and under carriage so not rusted, all the trim is present and undamaged except the trunk 500 medallion, lights and lenses good, original interior in very good shape no tears, complete and unaltered dash, original steering wheel in excellent condition, floor shift auto w/ console w. clock. Convertible top is all there as is the framing, doors open and close perfectly with no signs of the body sagging in the middle. One rusted through hole in drivers fllor to the left front corner below the dimmer switch. One rusted through area about 3"x6" on the left side of the cowl under the hood from a mouse nest, one small hole by the outside of the drivers wing window and the spare tire well floor is starting to rust. 361 V8 w. 383 intake w. 4 barrel and dual exhaust. 727 tranny. the grill is all there and undamaged other than weathering. This is an original driver. He, ( Mike Hutchinson) wants 10,000 bucks for this nice convertible. It's a solid car and a great starter with it being complete and in great shape. This is down from 12,500. I turned him on to FBBO and he says he will be joining up and posting up his car for sale. In the mean time here's some teaser pics. Enjoy.
