Are the cars in Bristol TN? Ad says southwest VA.

Didn't look to see if VA had a Bristol. I'm a old southern boy. Don't know about that far north. :)

I'm going to be a fish out of water soon. I have to go to Massachusetts soon to pick up my new GTX.

There are good people everywhere, but the East Coast isn't for me. And this comes from a guy who grew up in Shitcago.

Yes, the guy I'm getting the GTX from is a great guy, we have dealt with each other on several occasions, before I made a deal on this car.
There are lots of great people from everywhere on this forum. You just don't get away with southern up there. I was in Maryland some years back for several weeks. Second day up there we went to lunch and sat down. The waitress came over to to see what we wanted to drink. I said sweet tea, at which I was informed that they had tea, but if I wanted it sweet there was sweetener on the table. A few minutes later she came back dragging another waitress with her. Her first words were "Say something for her". Low and behold don't ask for grits at breakfast. They go berserk!!!

That Daytona is the one from chop cut rebuild that everyone ******* about. That superbird has been on eBay a time or two. I call bogus.

HEY! I'm 150 miles north of Bristol. You hurt me....
SW Virginia still is "real world", full of good people much like those down on this side of the line.
The further north and east you go in the state, though, the closer you get to loony land.
I lived in amongst the "beltway crowd" surrounding DC for 20 years. The sane/real folks were sparse there...

Oh, and I think the ad is BS. I know the region fairly well and would hope I'd heard about this place by now.
This as is quite well spread around the internet now, though - and is still up on CL, so who knows?
The phone number in the ad is actually for a Japanese Steak House on State Street (and as I recall, a sorta dinky run down one at that).

Yea the Daytona was from Stephens performance that they did on Chop Cut Rebuild. Sure looks like the same car from the pic......Fishy!

Yeah or when you say “how you doin’ today”, they are looking at you like I am not sick.
Lmao, when I was in the Marine Corps, the folks down south were super polite. Always said, good morning or how y’all doing. Felt strange at first. “Why are these people, that I don’t know, talking to me?” People don’t do that around here, Boston area. They should. People need to lighten up.

Some parts and some folks in the South "is kinda funny".

A couple years ago, I kept seeing a lime green 70 Challenger convertible across the street from my shop, at another shop.

One day when I had my 72 Charger out, I walked over, and trying to be neighborly, mention that I own the building across the street and (while gesturing at my Charger) am a Mopar guy, and is that your Challenger?

Guy says in a thick Southern drawl- "yooo're askin' some scary questions..."

I just threw up my arms and walked back across the street.

No Hi, good to meet you, seen your cars, too....nuthin' but that.

F him, and that's the last time I try to be neighborly to that jerk.
