Found 340 block, casting numbers 2780930 340 3
Serial number GW340P33980190
Partial Vin 1B310745
I also have the heads from this motor, 1 J head and 1 Z head

Just throwing it out there in case it can find it’s way to the original owner

You might post it up on Forabodies and forebodies sister sites if your looking for its home. 340s were not offered in b bodies until 1971.

It’s a 71 MY engine but since it came from Hamtramck (B in the VIN) it’s from an A or E body.

FABO or FEBO might offer better chances.

Well the VIN is 1B310745
That first 1 means it’s a 71 model year engine
But the B means it was installed in a car built at Hamtramck and in 71 it appears B bodies weren’t manufactured at Hamtramck...

But A & E bodies were
