I'm building a 70 R/T Charger to be setup with a 440 and 8-71 SC. Its currently dropped in the car, but, as of now I am clueless on the direction I need to go from here. Looking to run a FiTech 2x4 (1200hp) setup. Although I'm thinking I'd be closer to around 800 HP, I'd rather have more than what I need than not enough.

I've browsed through a lot of the previous times this seemed to be covered, however, it seems that there is a everlong list of MSD ignitions that are possible to use... and a longer list of those not to. Is there any kits that you may be aware of that seem to work best for a blower application with EFI?

This General Lee looks like it might be running an MSD Ready to Run, but I could be wrong.

On a 383, MSD-8386, changing to MSD-8545 with MSD-84211 for timing control.

Summit is having a discount deal right now and free shipping.

Going to be running it on a 440. I assume the correct one would be the 8387 model instead?

That is the ready to run one and will work fine.
I went rtr first because it was already installed, if I was starting from scratch I would get the one set up for timing control with the adjustable rotor, I think it's cheaper too.

Fyi - at least twice a year, if not more, Summit discounts MSD stuff, so if you're patient it's worth the wait. It's more than the $20 off $250 etc discount that they're having now.

Guy to talk with is AndyF. He’s over on Moparts. Actually he’s on here as well.
