Hellcat on the autobahn

We are all products of our accumulated experiences. We all have different levels of skills and opinions. While driving fast on public roads can be fatal it doesn't have to be. The driver showed caution and good judgement around other vehicles and had a good time. Could it have gone way wrong? Sure. But so could entering a cross walk. It's a cool post and an interesting ride along for those of us who like fast, cool cars. Nothing more, nothing less.

The steering looked very easy in the video at high speed,,idk about anyone else, but my 18 chally r/t steering gets very stiff at 90-100 mph and is very scary.
I haven’t noticed that, I’ll check it out.

That Blower must be like a drug on the Hellcat. Safe for conditions.

The OP created a thread, posted a video of a guy driving a cool car on the autobahn where it’s legal to do so. Everyone else adds their positive comments about how cool it is and how much fun it looks. It’s a car enthusiast forum after all. Then you join in by making a derogatory comment about a car you’ve never driven. Then you start posting how nobody else should drive that fast and how no members of this forum are even qualfied to do it.
You don’t know anything about anyone on this forum. Why would you make those assumptions and why do you feel you’re qualified to make decisions as to what “everyone else” should or shouldn’t do? Do you not understand that all people are different, like different things, are capable of different things, have different levels of skills and abilities and think differently and don’t all share the same opinion or viewpoints?
Its not derogatory at all. Its a car and its my opinion.
I dont know anything about anyone on this forum? How do you know what I know?
I know enough of what I need to know about the many members here im friendly with. What business is it of yours anyway?
When you comment as you did towards me, be prepared to how I will react.
Go get your testosterone checked....most troopers I know aren’t afraid of a mere 120. I recall cruising through the mountains in excess of that in my wife’s Hellcat. My slow street car traps 143 in the quarter mile. It doesn’t even seem fast anymore . My goal with it is to exceed 200mph in the standing mile and better than 170 in the quarter mile. Just because you don’t have any business behind the wheel of anything fast doesn’t mean everyone else isn’t qualified.
You state you drive through the " mountains " in access of 120 mph. So in affect you admit to risking not only your own life but the lives of anyone else driving on that mountain road. Why should I make assumptions? Why shouldn't I as you admit you. drive with zero concern for all others around you.
Dont make excuses and dont use the fact that this is a car forum to justify reckless behavior.

It’s interesting that you question others saying “how do you know what I know” but then go on to state that you “know enough of what I need to know about the many members I’m friendly with” which couldn’t be more hypocritical, but I wouldn’t expect anything less. As to my driving, I accept all consequences of my actions as I was raised to do so. You hold no authority over anyone so your opinion of my actions are of no concern to me and finally, I was taught that arguing with fools was a good way to prove yourself one, so this will be my last post in this thread. Carry on Steve, and have a great day.

Recall all your postings and look into a mirror before calling me names.
I stated my thoughts and positions in reply to your posts towards me including the sarcastic one were you suggest seeing a medical professional to get a test. You did say that did you not?
Get my testosterone checked?
Questioning my manhood?
Whose the fool? Im not the one backpedaling, trying to take the high road after a post which describes a immature irresponsible action(s) and then continuing to try and justify that.
Please drive carefully.

Yeah so I posted this because it's a Mopar, modern Mopar but still a Dodge. This is a Mopar forum and we all appreciate the performance aspects and heritage of these cars. And we all enjoy hitting the throttle once in a while. This video is of a guy doing what most if not all of us would like to do but I trust that we are all responsible enough not to allow our personal enjoyment to over ride our responsibility on the road to be safe with our own lives and everyone else on the road.
This guy was a professional driver driving legally but I certainly agree that there are not many roads in the US where that could be done safely.
All that said, lets just enjoy the video and be respectful of all viewpoints.......please and thank you

# because Steve. Take a breath Steve. Some threads are just meant to be enjoyed by those who find enjoyment in viewing them. Since you took offense to the videos content maybe you should have kept that info to yourself instead of lecturing all of us on safe driving and such. I know that I enjoyed the video for what it was and had no need to break it down morally, or in an aspect of safety as concerns the driver in it. Lighten up man. It's just a video not a subversive training regime for FBBO members to go out and copy. I dare say most of us here are smart enough to drive safely as we are mostly in our 50-70s in age...lol. Not everything needs commentary, some things are meant to be simply watched and enjoyed.

the auto bahn is one of those things i think just about every motorhead would love to experience, so is there special licensing required to go fast, that means a tourist would never be able to travel at higher speeds?

The Autobahn is a privilege to drive on, not a "Right"....you can lose your Privilege
Furthermore, go to Montana, they typically drive 90s to 100s

Please?
Let us not turn a neat thread like this into the "S#I! storm"
Everyone just calm down...no escalation please?
Steve can think what he thinks, it is his right, opinion.
Some may not agree....but opinions are allowed.
I certainly know a bit about the Autobahn, and the cars are not "Rat traps" like some American automobiles on our Highways.
By the way data shows less accidents on our freeways than over there.

I did not take offense and as much as I respect you, do not lecture me now and in the future.
Address the guy who decided to post towards me directly as well as the troll who makes round about comments again directed at me instead of calling me out publicly.
Typical FBBO bullshit.
