1969 RR Bumpers

That's not terrible for a good chrome job, especially in CA...what was the name of the shop if you don't mind?
I think it was the LA. Bumper Connection something like that. It was in Santa Fe Springs. They picked up and delivered as well. Maybe just Bumper Connection. Hard to remember.

Thank you! Always on the lookout for good shops even if they're a little out-of-the-way..

The AMD repops are 395.00 The cost of re-chroming the Roadrunner bumpers was 750 for both. It was still cheaper than one 695 chrome job on one bumper. I guess it really depends on where you live and availability.

I got two prices from with in 50 miles first was $1800 for a pair second was $350 each same process for both, I asked what and how.. witch one ya think I'm going with?

Let us know how it turns out going with the $700 pair. Fortunate that you have two choices in 50 miles, we have about two platers left in all of Ontario thanks to the EPA ! I paid $1400 to have my back bumper done..

The guy has been in business for 40 years, many good results. I’m taking them down next week, we’ll see

I ordered the AMD bumpers and are very happy with them. I weighed them in comparison with the oem bumpers I had and they were within a pound according to my fish de-liar scale (very close). The only real difference I found was that the repop bumper corners were welded, which you can see from the backside. Chrome is excellent and still looks like a mirror.

Ballpark for AMD bumpers....$380 + $390 + $20 shipping =$790

I do not have a local chrome shop available so shipping would have been a big cost, both ways. Plus you have the wait time involved with a re chrome and whether they can get them straight.

It depends on where you live. I took a set in had them straightened and show chrome for the same cost as AMD's. Now if you have a bumper that is not repopped this place will rape you.

Damm, there was a shop in Richmond that came down here to Hampton Roads once a week and did great work but they closed up in 2016. I have AMD bumpers on my 69 and there're awesome, I've had them on over 10 years, they look as good now as they did when I put them on. The 68 I'm doing has perfect bumpers just need re chroming, really like to keep them
