68 Charger RT Exhaust Hangar Styles

Hey Everyone,

I have searched a bit and really can’t find a resolution to my answer

I have seen 2 styles of exhaust hangars to get from various venders. A double strap and a single strap style. In the FSM diagrams for the 68/69 there is no illustration of the double strap style. The only illustration I seen of the double strap style was in the 67 FSM under the HEMI diagram. A reputable supplier sent me the double strap for my 68 charger RT.

Which one is correct for a 68 Charger RT? I have both styles sitting here so just want to use the correct one.

Also what is the correct original style finish...bare metal look or black oxide look?

My 68 Charger had been sitting in a garage since 1982, and I know the exhaust system was all original. Build date is June 5, 1968. It has the double strap hangers. I have a good pic,but can't seem to get it to download.

Here is a picture of a set of NOS hangers for the 66 to 69 440 and Hemi equipped B-Body applications. ECS is currently working on a very nice reproduction of the piece.
