My first passion

Thanks.
The boat is a 24’ Pantera.
I restored it from a bare hull.
Here’s a pic

BEAUTIFUL BOAT! I'm a fan of vintage V hull boats. Typically I dig V8, I/O stuff, but I'd make an exception for a nice Superboat. That Pantera is spectacular, and is one of my all-time favorites. What power, and how fast?? If you get a chance, search RAZZ Miami 1991 Uncut on youtube. Great footage of an Apache in hurricane surf.

Yes, I’m an I/O guy myself, but an outboard superboat is a wicked pisser!

Mine has a 512” APBA supercat engine in it. I bought the engine from Ilmor and we detuned it to 675HP and pump gas compression.
Boat goes just about 80MPH.

I got a chance to ride in a "Challenger" when I was in my teens...I'm 51 now. It had a 250 outboard on it. That hull was purchased by Superboat...I think. That boat was an eye-opener as far as short v-hulls. Handled rough water like a much larger boat. Sounds like your Pantera is a beast. I bet it sounds spectacular. Too bad you can't get an RB motor for these old boats, or I'd likely have one. Can't bring myself to a Chevy motor LOL.

Oddly enough, the guy I bought it from had a 426 HEMI in it.
He used jet boat log headers for the exhaust.
The HEMI is now in a 64 Savoy

This is my Cat Eliminator that I got in 1971.

The cat I sold. It had an NOS engine and all new chrome

I get it. Here's the '70 Z50 I restored a few years ago. Kids had one years ago, so we found this one to replace it. Sand blasted, stripped, base/clear coat, all new rubber & everything rechromed. That was in '09 & it's never been run since but it's ready to go.
