have a rattle in my brand new tank. shone a light inside and the only thing that appears that could rattle are the vent lines, yet none of the spot welds are broken. are there check balls in the vent lines? anybody else have this issue?
also....not sure if it's even a Spectra Premium. purchased on ebay, sold by CARid, boxing and ad says came from Auto Metal Direct and AMD bix sticker says made in Taiwan. I thought Spectra Premiums were made in Canada? Anybody have one of these CR10B tanks for 72-73 Charger?

Spectra tanks are made in, or at least sold from, Boucherville, Quebec. You sure that rattle's in the tank...

yes. i just pulled the tank from tbe box and have not installed it yet. i figure it's gotta be one of the vent tubes, but i don't see them visibly moving. just wondering if this is normal or should i send the tank back.

Here's the tank. It was advertised as a Spectra Premium

This is my Spectra tank for my '69 Bee. There were no stampings on it, just a single small white sticker with hand writing on it "CR9C Spectra Made in Canada"

dadsbee, based on your pic, this is really turning into a puzzle! regardless of the manufacturer, the tank quality is very good insofar as it replicates the original. only problem with it is the vent lines rattle. i may be returning it for that reason alone

For those of you who grew up in the Pittsburgh, Wheeling, Stubenville, Youngstown area and remember when steel was made there...here's a stamping i found on the top side of the Charger's original tank.

Your picture in post #6 shows a logo and number, something that the Spectra fuel tank catalogue says is not on their products:

thanks photon440. The party i bought the tank from (CARiD) is sending me shipping labels to return the item, no questions asked. And a thank you to everyone who chipped in.
