Mail or fax? What year is this 1980?
Just kidding, but you would think that it would be more efficient to do everything electronically.

I'll guess I'll break out my fountain pen and ink well to write a letter on some papyrus then hand it to my letter carrier to travel to Detroit on his horse.

Thanks for taking the time to research BBRR

Back when I did my 67 I sent them a check for 50.00 they never cashed that check. I got all my info for free basically. But all my stuff was through email if i remember correct.

"Period correct" way to do it.

Can't argue with that!

OK, big news!

The email [email protected] is still valid.

She responded right back with this reply:

Hello Jim,

The FCA Historical Archives is happy to be able to provide you with a copy of the build card for your historic vehicle without charge. However, due to the volume of requests we receive and the modest staff that we have, we are unable to offer the decoding service and copied material that we have in the past. Please provide us with proof of ownership, i.e. a copy of the title or registration, and your mailing address and we will send you the build card.

We will, when possible, provide you with the original selling dealers name and city.

Thank you for contacting us and we hope that the build card information is helpful to you.

Do I read this correctly? They can give me a copy of my build sheet? I have the original window sticker and bill of sale. Build sheet is all I am missing.

EDIT:
Disregard. After reading the links I see it is just an IBM punch card and not available for cars built after '67.

The IBM build card not your build sheet.

No not a build sheet.
Only 67 and older build card.
It was an IBM style punch card.

Like this. This is the microfiche copy they sent me.

What info on your car did you have to provide, besides proof of ownership? I'd like some more info about my imperials, but i believe all i have are vin numbers. It's hard to believe that they have any info after all these years. And i'll bet it won't be on an IBM punch card.
I would love to know the original colors, and dealers!

She only asked for the proof of ownership and mailing address

I attach to my email:
picture of the reg as proof of ownership
picture of the VIN tag
Picture of the fender tag

email her to ask about Imperials
