Anyone know where I can find jets like this one and with at least two sizes larger? They are for a 73 two barrel bbd. The engraved number on the jet is: 120-868 S

No guarantee but I'd call Allstate carburetor, they have all kinds of old/obsolete parts. I'd get them on the phone though I never had the same luck on their website.

Also consider Chicago Carburetor or Quadrajet Carburetor or Carbs Unlimited ..they may possibly help...but the Carter 1 1/4 & Carter 1 1/2 BBD 2 barrels and Carter BBS one barrel carbs are totally different than the AFB and AVS designs and have nothing in common. Just my opinion of course.

Mikes Carburetor has them

Not sure if anyone offers jets of this configuration. I went looking on all of the sites recommended including the ones l mentiomed....came up empty. I'm searching for the choke pull off piston, link, t-stat cover and link screw for a 1962 Pontiac 4GC carb. This assy is INTERNAL to the choke housing and works by hot air and vacuum from a choke air heater tube in the xover passsge. No one, so far, has what I'm looking for.....I wish you well with your search.

Mike only has the short ones. Yesterday I took them out of the carb for the last time, drilled them out from .868 stock as engraved on the jet, to about 072, I don't want to go too much, drove the car for about 30 min and the plug now is a little darker but! the car runs so good much more power and quick and snappy of the line I will leave it there and enjoy the driving. FYI.....
Found this supplier on line.....they claim to have tons of parts and kits for ALL carbs. Suggest that you call them for your quest.....you need the carb number and or model year etc. I have no experience with the vendor but they look that they can help. I'll be calling them in my quest for Rochester 4GC parts.

Bob, I called the shop they do have them, the number does not corelate to the size of the jet for Chrysler, the hole size I did drill thought is about 2 mm larger the car runs great on accelaration power mode, the light cruising will still be a bit lean since I found out the carb I have is a California spec carb, smaller air bleeds. if this is true than I can leave it alone. I would rather keep this original style carb and run a bit lean than buy an after market Carter clone and take a chance. Plus I show the car and want to have the original look and feel. I do remember now back in 1982 I bought a new Holley Economaster carb I used that until 2008!, the plugs were a light tan, but I would loose power on long hills and still have great power on a hard acceleration. I did trade that carb in since it was worn out but lasted 20 plus years! dummy me for buying a 100.00 rebuild from Advance auto that lasted about 7 years it made the car use more gas but ran great. After only 8000 miles it started to pop, Ethanol damaged the acc pump. at that time I knew nothing about carb rebuilding it seemed overwelming to me at the time, today however I will get into everything because I want to learn more and not afraid to try and repair my self. The older I get the more curious I have become. I think I will order a set of those long jets and have a spare if I want to experiment with the performance, as of now the car has a quick snappy feel off the line and just is so much more enjoyable to drive for a 318, two barrel .430 inch cam duel exhaust car with 321 rear. Now I want to go back on the dyno.

I'm glad you found the solution to your issues. Carbs are simple yet complex devices, but once you understand how they function you can "adjust" them to suit your application. Unfortunately, there are too many "experts" that rely on information from people that take someone else's word as gospel for a ptoblem thst does not exist. For example like your next door's neighbor's brother-in-law's cousin's friend's best buddy's who occupies the third stool at the local watering hole.
Sometimes today's carb issues are due to the ethanol blended fuels. Ethanol has half the heating value (energy) as gasoline provides so you must consume 2x the amount to achieve the same result. The depends on the percentage of ethanol to gasoline but USUALLY a richer fuel mixture will help to fix the problem. The spark plug's coloration will show the results. In addition, perhaps increasing the static timing and / or the rate of spark advance will contribute to a smoother operation. Proceed with caution and change one thing at a time snd document your efforts for repeatability. Just my opinion of course.

Thank you,
I have always documented and did install an FBO Ignition module, mopar style adjustable distributer, 40000 volt coil a complete package. Connected to manifold vacuum not port like stock. as instructed form Don at 4secflat .com.

My settings are and due to a 430inch cam: timing set in the dist at 16degrees with a plastic gauge. Timing on the damper no hose connected 19. The V/A? connected at is 32 at 900 rpm 22 on the vacuum gauge. Total mech is 35. The difference is over a factory 1973 stock motor is, the cars starts right up hot after sitting for an hour no gas pedal, it idles and does not stall after starting cold at 40 degrees so far, choke set properly. No stinky smell anymore, no pinging smooth acceleration. all this due to make up for crappy ehtanol fuel. Adjusted the vacuum advance screw several times to find see the sweet spot. Checked the plug the shiny timing mark on the electrod is right on the curved part just where it should be.
