Are the clips for this piece of trim unobtanium? I have yet to even stumble across these used on the internet? I don't even have one to get a blueprint off of to even attempt making one myself.

Not my car..... not even close...

I have been looking for those clips for several years with no luck. The clips on ebay are not like the originals but may work, I haven't seen how they are attached. I was at Carlisle last week and talked to a vendor that deals only in clips. I showed him the clip, and he told me the year and car that they were installed on before I could tell him the year and model. This lead me to believe that he knew what he was talking about. I was told by him that they were factory installed only and were not available over the Mopar counter. You will have to try and find them on a '64 or '65 HT car. Most that I have seen are badly rusted, or have the tab on them broken. There are two per side.

I bought a couple of those clips late last month for $8 each. I got them from http://www.themoparshop.com/shop/ .... I don't see them listed on the site any more though. Might be worth a phone call.

Did a little more searching and here they are.https://www.ebay.com/i/254335589732...MItsjaxeqK5QIVBOiGCh1iwQ_fEAQYASABEgKKtvD_BwE

I called the mopar shop you referred me to and they don't and will not carry that clip again. but he referred me to rt specialties and they have them.

Now I'm not absolutely positive that's one, like a said I personally have nothing to go off of, but the pics in the ebay link look the same.

thanks,

Here is a picture of the remains of one from a 65 Belvedere that I am parting out.
When I get to the other side I will see if they are in better shape and post a pic for you,

I showed the originals to Joe and I think he only sales the ones like RT Specialties.

The clips that are available are for the 63 cars. They can be made to work with a little shimming and bending. If using them do not screw them to the roof as they were used on the 63 cars. I just did this on a 65 coronet, sorry no photo's.

I had a chance to remove the trim from the other side today and that side was worse than the one pictured.
So much for East Coast cars LOL

I have a picture of one of my good clips, but am not sure how to post. I can send to someone who then can post. Doesn't look like '63 clip.
