Unless its a modified or track car I like to see body color under the hood. Chrysler always prided themselves on under hood appearance compared to the other brands and it should stay that way. Just my preference.
This is what I did, really pretty easy. Black engine bay is for Chevy's.Remember painting it body color doesn't have to become a big thing. Most of the auto body paint house these days will sell you any paint code you want in a spray can, that saves a lot of b.s. . You can get to all areas of the engine compartment, do it on your time, not have to trailer your car somewhere,e.c.t. If you are going metallic use the base coat and then clear coat it will match way better. If going with a solid color just use single step. This stuff sprays out pretty nice not like normal rattle can stuff.
That doesn't bad compared than other colors. Each to their own, it's their car.My car is originally white (currently the incorrect white), and I painted my engine bay '64 Chrysler Formal Black only because I intend on painting the rest of the car that color too.

Mine was painted flat black when I purchased the car..I do not personally think it looks goodMy view body color. Black on black ok but engine compartment black with another color body looks like you put engine in a black hole, MO. As said earlier it's your car.
