1 dead, a bunch injured. Fall fling in a few weeks

It will be out by then. Every year this area burns. Brush is removed by mandatory enforcement on owners but not on County or State owned land. Till that is cleaned up this is normal. Sad but true. I worked in Chatsworth for years. It burned every year in the hills.

Submit & I went to the Longhorn last evening & the sunset made it look like it was on fire, but it wasn't.

SoCal

I heard it was "allegedly" org. started "this time"
by a Homeless encampment's trash fire...

yep they burn almost every year down there,
that/them area/s

high winds (like 50 mph frequently) the landscape
brush, grass & manzanita or madrone bush, steep rough terrain
hard to access (it's very few trees there etc.) all fuel the flames

It was on the news all night last night. SoCal Edison shutting down power for many homes and businesses ala PG&E. Hasn’t happened to us yet but in Irvine they’ve sent out notices. Power outage is getting closer but wind seems to have died down.

There's so much about all those fires that I don't understand. I can't say for lack of knowledge on my behalf who is to blame. I just hate seeing all you guys have to go through all that!!

There was video of a trash truck smoldering that kicked out embers that burned a ton of homes. Poor bastards. I-210 closed? OMG the traffic.

That was the Calimesa fire. Driver was told not truck mechanical fire and drive away. But he dropped the load and started the fire.
